Vinu Malik – Fuel Belt

Hi Guys

It is that time of the year when people ( myself included ) are tweeting / facebooking and blogging about new sponsorship deal and great new relationships in the industry . I think this is a great thing as we have more and more companies seeing the value in being involved with triathlon.

However I just wanted to take a moment to put the spotlight on people who have been in the industry for a  long time and forge ahead at being the market leaders in there industry .

My Little rant here is focused on Vinu and Ann  Malik of Fuel Belt and Xtri.com .  I met Vinu in 2004 at what was to be my last amateur race , We immediately hit it off and they have become great friends . Vinu decided back then to support  Myself and Marilyn and become out first official “sponsor”!

Vinu is one of the most passionate people you will come across . He has a deep love for sport and for triathlon in particular ,his company has been in the fortune 5000 for 4 years running and he  still continues to see value in great relationships with Professional athletes.

He has been at this game since the 80′s but you will still find Vinu out there racing with you chasing that illusive Hawaii slot.

Vinu – Thank you for 8 great years we are looking forward to many more great years ahead!
